In 2009, it was selected into the livestock and poultry breeds of Anhui and was determined as a provincial protected variety of livestock and poultry genetic resources. However, in recent years, due to the impact of foreign lean pig breeds, the lack of protection funds and the rapid withdrawal of scattered farmers, the genetic resources of Zongyang black pigs have been seriously degraded, and the number of pure breeds has decreased sharply, so the breeding conservation work is urgent. |
