| Two-oriented feed refer to resource-saving and environment-friendly feed. At present, corn and soybean meal is the main diet for pigs, broilers and laying hens in the market. New solutions are needed to improve the sustainability of feed production and solve the problem of food competition between human and livestock. There are many materials that can be used as alternative energy and protein sources, including sorghum, barley, insect-derived ingredients, algaederived proteins and single-cell proteins. The importance of fi ber in the two-oriented feed and the application prospect of several energy and new protein substitutes were discussed in this paper. |
