| The "dietary fi ber" (DF), known as "the seventh major nutrient", plays an important role in maintaining health of human and livestock. However, there are still differences and deficiencies in people's cognition about the role of dietary fi ber in sow nutrition. Therefore, the present review summarized the defi nition of DF, the index of defi ning DF, the recommended DF level, and the equation of calculating energy value of sows in feedstuff s, to provide reference and ideas for the research and application of sow's DF nutrition. |
