Seaweed is one of the algae growing in the sea, which is composed of thousands of small leaf algae and large leaf algae. Seaweeds contain phenolic compounds, seaweed polyphenols, seaweed polysaccharides, carotenoids, fatty acids, polypeptides and terpenes, which are valuable sources of bioactive molecules. Seaweeds also have antibacterial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory functions. Adding seaweed to the pig diet can enhance the immune system function, improve the intestinal health status and enhance the body's antioxidant capacity. |
